Choosing the right oil
Not every engine wants the same oil, and the right choice depends on your vehicle's age, mileage, and how you drive. We stock all four major types and will always tell you plainly which one your manufacturer calls for — and whether paying more actually buys you anything.
- Conventional — proven protection for older engines and straightforward commuting, at the lowest cost per change.
- Synthetic blend — a step up in heat resistance and breakdown protection without the full-synthetic price.
- Full synthetic — superior flow in cold starts, stability in heat, and longer change intervals; what most modern engines are engineered for.
- High-mileage — formulated for engines past 75,000 miles, with seal conditioners that reduce leaks and burn-off.
Every visit ends with a written report — what we found, what we did, and what can safely wait.
Why routine changes extend engine life
Oil is your engine's only defense against metal-on-metal wear. As it ages it thins, oxidizes, and fills with combustion byproducts — and dirty oil grinds instead of protects. Changing it on schedule keeps bearings, camshafts, and piston rings within factory tolerances for hundreds of thousands of miles. It's the cheapest insurance your engine will ever get.
Fuel efficiency and performance
Fresh oil at the correct viscosity reduces internal friction, which your engine repays in smoother running and measurable fuel economy. A clogged filter or degraded oil forces every component to work harder — you feel it at the pump before you feel it anywhere else.
On your manufacturer's schedule
We follow your vehicle's factory maintenance schedule — not a one-size-fits-all sticker. Depending on the engine and the oil type, that may mean every 3,000, 5,000, 7,500, or 10,000 miles. We'll note the right interval on your invoice and remind you when you're due.
